Open Doors and a Warm Welcome at Holy Trinity

Holy Trinity has opened its doors every day this summer for visitors who wish to scale the heights above Kilbride Road to visit the peaceful site.

The doors will be open extra wide this Saturday August 13 for the annual Heritage Open Day, when the church’s registers, vestments and plate will all be on display.

Many of these date back to the 1800s when the church was founded, and make a fascinating display for local history buffs and anyone who would like to know the difference between a pyx and a ciborium.

The displays at the Open Day also show that there were once five Episcopal Churches in Dunoon and the immediate surrounding areas; times have changed, but the stories of the people who went before us are as engaging and interesting as ever.
