EASTER CONTINUES AT HOLY TRINITY
WE are still in the season of Easter at Holy Trinity with all the beautiful Easter flowers, the paschal candle lit and egg-shaped prayers still on the prayer tree.
The Sunday School is on holiday but we were delighted to have Canon Hugh Lee take the service and to welcome our curate Rev Elaine Garman as Deacon.
Elaine preached on the Gospel reading from the Gospel of John where Jesus, as the Good Shepherd, talks about his followers as his sheep, to whom will be given eternal life. She asked us to think about how we would respond, even with something quite small, as we helped with the mission of the church to spread the Gospel.
Our coffee morning with various stalls (baking, crafts, books, jewellery, etc) will be held in the High Kirk Hall in Hanover Street on Saturday April 23, from 10am to noon. We look forward to a busy morning.
On Sunday April 24, as well as the usual morning service, there will be the Ecumenical prayers for peace in Israel and the Palestinian territories at 3pm (maximum 20 minutes) in church. All welcome
Details of services and other activities at Holy Trinity are on our website www.holytrinitydunoon. co.uk.
